QParents – Download and Sign Up Now
As shared at the end of last term, Tivoli State School is transitioning to QParents as our primary platform for communication and information sharing. While we currently use a range of methods to share information, not having one clear ‘go-to’ platform has, at times, caused confusion for some families, with key information, due dates and payment deadlines being missed. Moving to QParents will help streamline communication and ensure families can access everything they need in one place. This will be a gradual process, so there is no need to be concerned if you are still getting set up.
Getting started is simple. Families can download the app or access QParents online via https://qparents.qld.edu.au/landing and create an account. Once your details are submitted, a request is sent to the school for approval. After this has been processed by our administration team, your account will be activated. This process is now much more streamlined than in the past and aligns with the Department of Education’s preference for QParents to be used as the main form of two-way communication between schools and families.
QParents allows parents and carers to access and manage a wide range of school information, including:
- school announcements
- digital consent forms
- attendance details, including future and unexplained absences
- invoices and payment history
- report cards and assessment planners
- upcoming events
- enrolment history
By the end of Term 3, all permission notes and key updates will be shared exclusively through QParents. We will continue to communicate through the school newsletter and Facebook page; however, we will be moving away from SMS messaging for key reminders. When QParents is set up correctly, notifications from the app will provide timely updates in the same way our current text messages do.
If you require any assistance setting up or accessing QParents, please contact the school administration team—we are here to help.
